5 Day Kalahari Mountain Bike Traverse Tour

The Kalahari MTB Traverse is a new mountain bike tour in the Kalahari (Northern Cape) where you will cycle from lodge to lodge while your gear is transferred by Trisport staff. You will cycle on hard surfaces each day (no sand). On one day you will cycle for 10km over a hard saltpan. You will cycle through an area that they call the Lost city of the Kalahari and each night you will stay at a lodge and 1 night at a luxury tented camp. This area of the Kalahari is known for its red dunes and you will have a sundowner each night on top of a sand dune or overlooking a salt pan.

Schedule
Day 1
2pm - Arrival at Molopo Lodge
6pm - Welcome and drinks at the Bar
7pm - Dinner

Day 2 to 5
Cycle through the Kalahari on gravel roads, saltpans, jeep tracks etc, no sand roads.
Stay at a different venue each night. Your gear will be taken to the next place every day.
Finish every day with sundowners overlooking the Kalahari Red Dunes, a Saltpan or enjoying a game drive in a Game Reserve.

Day 6
Last morning, cycling a short distance, pick up your cars.
