Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Firefly Falls Base Camp
Arrive at Firefly Falls in the afternoon and settle into your luxury tented accommodation. A short orientation introduces you to the route, gear preparation, and the friendly support team. In the evening, gather around the lapa for a relaxed African braai, swapping stories under a sky full of stars before retiring to the sounds of the forest for a restful night’s sleep.

Day 2 – Stormsriver to Mountain Biocamp
After breakfast, meet your guide and check your bikes before being shuttled to the trail start. Cycle through a mix of MTO Forestry and untouched indigenous forest, tackling steady climbs and rolling descents. A scenic mountain viewpoint is your lunch stop, offering sweeping panoramas of the Tsitsikamma range. By early afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Mountain Biocamp, just a short walk from the Lottering River — ideal for a cooling swim. Enjoy a peaceful evening with dinner served overlooking the mountains.

Day 3 – Mountain Biocamp to Bloukrans Gorge Biocamp
Fuel up with breakfast before setting off along the dramatic coastal escarpment, riding above sections of the famous Otter Trail with endless ocean views. Descend into the Bloukrans River Gorge for a refreshing swim at the river crossing before taking on the climb out of the valley. The day ends at the Bloukrans Gorge Biocamp, where the views stretch across the river mouth, Indian Ocean, Plettenberg Bay, and Robberg Peninsula. Dinner and starlit skies make for an unforgettable night.

Day 4 – Bloukrans to Nature’s Valley & Return to Firefly Falls
Wake to ocean views and begin the Champagne Stage — a more relaxed ride through forestry and community-built trails lined with indigenous fynbos. Pause at a lookout over Nature’s Valley before descending into its lush greenery. Cross another river pass and ride back to Firefly Falls, where a celebratory snack and drinks mark the end of your adventure. Optionally, add one last night here to unwind before heading home.
