Itinerary:
The Pro Dive Sardine Run in Port St. Johns is the ultimate South African Sardine Run experience… from whales breaching, to thousands of dolphins hunting & spiraling seabirds falling from the sky.

We spend time out at sea interacting and getting close to the marine animals as they move along the South African coastline feeding on sardines during the day, and spend the evenings relaxing with friends around the fire eating, drinking and talking about the day’s excitement.

Pro Dive has put together the ultimate 4 nights, 3 day package to experience the sheer thrill of the greatest shoal on earth. Stay at the 4-star N’taba River Lodge, nestled between towering cliffs on the banks of the Umzimvubu River.

With more than twenty years of Sardine Run experience and our local knowledge and expertise with the animals, Pro Dive provides the highest probability of encountering the densest displays of the Sardine Run action. Our skippers are all PADI Certified and seasoned Sardine Run specialists. They have two goals in mind; your safety and making your Sardine Run experience the most memorable expedition of your life.

Day 1
Arrive at Mthatha Airport and transfer to Port St Johns. Check into the 4-star lodge for 7 nights situated on the beautiful Umzimvubu River. Meet in the early evening for a full expedition briefing and crew introduction.

Day 2 to 4
Daily Itinerary: After breakfast you will embark on the boat at the lodge for a full day ocean safari to experience the exhilarating sardine run. Getting up close to marine life is exhilarating and the scenery is breathtaking. An Ocean Safari Lunch is provided on the boat. We return to the lodge at approximately 3pm to relax and enjoy dinner at the resort.

Day 5
Check out after breakfast and transfer to Mthatha airport for your flight home.
