Gravity Adventures is the home of many hard-core river and sea-based activities but we also like the more fun side of playing outside. Bobbing down the amber waters of the scenic Palmiet River near Cape Town is big fun with just the right amount of trepidation on the riffles and small drops to bring in the excitement. Our highly qualified river guides still keep their usual tight rope on safety though, as your tube (or ‘geckos specially designed for conditions on the Palmiet) carries you down this lively but doable stream.
Tubing with Gravity Adventures is a fun way to experience the Kogelberg Nature Reserve a protected area of great ecological importance that we are privileged to operate in. The ‘geckos are comfortable and you can drift along and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful mountain scenery. A short walk in will give you an opportunity to admire the fynbos; the floral diversity that is found here is greater than anywhere else in the world. The experience takes around 2 to 3 hours and is run during spring and summer when water levels are manageable.
We provide all the gear, including wetsuits and helmets. We cater for school and corporate groups as well and accommodation options in the area are plentiful and include the stunning Kogelberg Eco Cabins if your budget is not too tight.
Gravity has pioneered this river trip and we still do it best! At the end of the run, you’ll want to turn around and do it all over again.
