From R7 500 p/p sharing (2026)
Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind equestrian adventure at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland, set against a backdrop of rolling hills, pristine wetlands, and vibrant wildlife. Over three days, you’ll dive deep into the holistic world of horse care, exploring how every element—from dentistry and nutrition to fascia release and biomechanics—directly influences your horse’s movement, performance, and the connection you share. This is more than just a learning experience; it’s a journey that brings theory to life through hands-on practice and interactive sessions designed to engage, challenge, and inspire.
Each morning begins with scenic trail rides on our diverse and friendly Chubeka Trails horses, allowing you to connect with the animals while taking in the sanctuary’s breathtaking landscapes. Throughout the day, world-class presenters lead a dynamic mix of lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises, ensuring you gain a full understanding of how each aspect of horse care impacts overall health and ridden work. The sessions are designed to complement one another, offering opportunities to apply new skills immediately, ask questions, and deepen your understanding through observation and guided practice.
Accommodation is available at the comfort-filled Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, the stylish Benka Lifestyle retreat, and a range of lodges across the Ezulwini and Malkerns Valleys, giving you both convenience and choice amid some of Eswatini’s most scenic locations. Whether you’re an experienced rider, a passionate equine enthusiast, or simply curious about holistic horse management, this symposium combines education, adventure, and connection into an unforgettable weekend that will leave you inspired, enriched, and ready to bring new insights to your own equestrian journey.
Itinerary
Each day kicks off at 07h30 and is split into four sessions (1–2.5 hours each), with tea and lunch breaks for vital brain refreshers. Every session offers a choice of three topics running simultaneously, splitting delegates into groups to maximize learning. Topics are repeated throughout the weekend, so you can attend nearly all areas of interest. Some sessions follow on from theory lectures, giving you hands-on practice in skills like fascia release or hoof diagnostics.
