Day 1
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, South Africa, early in the morning, you will make your way to the Avis desk, where you will collect your rented vehicle. (1 x Group K vehicle - Toyota RAV 4 or similar, automatic & air-conditioning)

Put on your GPS and head eastwards over the mountains towards the Garden Route. Your first night will be spent in the honeymoon suite of the Schoone Oort Country House, a historic landmark in Swellendam.

Swellendam is a small town that nestles in the beautiful undulating mountains of the Langeberg. Horse riding, mountain biking and stunning hiking trails are all ways you can explore the area. Or do some relaxed shopping; Swellendam is known for its quaint little shops like the Fairy Sanctuary and the Bee Things shop.

Day 2
After a delicious breakfast at your lodgings, you’ll take a leisurely drive to Oudtshoorn passing through spectacular scenery as you head inland over the Langeberg Mountain Range.

Here you’ll enter the Klein Karoo and drive the famous R62 route. Your overnight accommodation is at Mooiplaas Guest House, where you can spend time at the spa if you choose. A sumptuous breakfast is included in your stay as well as a very special stargazing experience.

Day 3
A marvellous breakfast prepares you for a busy day.

You visit the Highgate Ostrich Farm with your private guide where you’ll enjoy interactions with the worlds largest bird. As amazed as you’ll be at the Ostrich’s antics your next stop will evoke even more wonder. You’ll spend some time at the vast Cango Caves at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. Join the adventure caving tour if you’re up for some serious exploring.

Now it’s time to head out of semi-desert scenery and into the lush green coastal forests of Knysna. Here you’ll spend 2 nights at the elegant Kanonkop in a romantic suite facing on to Kynsna’s lagoon-scape.

A sunset marine safari paired with a sundowner spread at a cocktail bar with stunning views of the Knysna Heads is a fitting way to end this fun-filled day.

Day 4
Today is spent at your own leisure, giving you time to explore this hub of the Garden Route. Visit the vibey Waterfront, take a stroll on the Eastern Head to admire Knysna Lagoons magnificent outlet to the Indian Ocean, go and see a giant 1000-year old tree and enjoy the many activities offered in the area.

In the late afternoon you’ll join a romantic Sunset Cruise on Outeniqua, a beautiful sailing vessel. This 2 ½ hour cruise takes you out through the Knysna Heads and into the Indian Ocean where you can spot schools of bottle-nose dolphins, pods of whales and admire the ruggedly beautiful coastline. Catering and bubbly help to make this experience a highlight of your honeymoon.

Day 5
After a good breakfast, you will head to the Storms River, perhaps stopping on the way to have a quick stroll on one of Garden Routes magnificent beaches like the one at Natures Valley. At Storms River you’ll join the team from Untouched Kayaking for an aquatic adventure in the stunning Tsitsikamma National Park- over 2 hours of incredible exploration.

In the afternoon a zipline tour through the canopy of an indigenous forest with Storms River Adventures showcases the beauty of the area. The gorgeous Misty Mountains Reserve is your cosy nest for the night and your much-deserved sleep will be in the honeymoon lodge which has an expansive view of the ocean and includes a delicious breakfast.
