5 Day Kosi - Loggerhead Turtle Trail - KwaZulu-Natal

From R11 800 for a group of 4 – 10 persons (2026 Rates)

Nestled in the far north of KwaZulu-Natal, on the border with Mozambique, Kosi Bay is a spectacular network of four interconnected lakes that flow into the Indian Ocean through a sandy estuary. With its warm climate, clear waters and relaxed pace, it is an ideal year-round destination for nature lovers.

As you explore the area on foot, you'll move through an ever-changing landscape of swamp forests, mangrove channels, open grasslands, coastal dune forests, and palm-studded wetlands, each supporting a rich variety of plant and animal life.

Our Kosi Lakes trails explore the lake system in depth, whilst the Turtle trails combine the lakes with the untouched beaches stretching south towards Lala Nek and Mabibi.

From November to February, Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles return to these shores to nest, providing a rare wildlife experience for visitors fortunate enough to witness it.
