Driving on a dirt road may not seem glamorous… Coming to a coastal reserve is however.  Oyster Bay Lodge, is an Activity Driven establishment with 12 activities.  Situated near Cape St Francis on the Garden Route of South Africa.

Driving through our main gate you are welcomed by friendly faces of the Reception, willing to help you become comfortable.  This won’t be a problem, being surrounded by beautiful untouched scenery – it becomes easy.

At the main building, your Activity Host will assist you with getting the perfect sand board for you.  Your host will introduce the idea of sandboarding, give you your kit and a bit of encouragement.  What you can expect is dunes that go on for hours, a variety of different heights or lengths, lots of sand, fun and an ice cold refreshment at the ocean viewing bar.

There are four boards available.  We feel this is suitable for groups up to 8-10 clients.  Heading out to the dunes you will be enjoying the 235 hectare coastal reserve.  Strolling through Fynbos, our free-roaming horses, other wildlife (such as Bush Buck, Grysbok, Duiker, Guinea Fowl, Spur Fowl, Porcupine, Caracal, Cape Clawless Otter and the list goes on)  and over to the dunes past our beautiful thatch roof Boma.

From the dunes you have views of our 3.5 km beachfront property, Oyster Bay Village, dolphins or even whales… Enjoy the fresh air, the wind in your hair, the glide and the reflection of your experience at our ocean viewing bar.

Please note this activity is weather dependant.  Unfortunately, if the dunes are wet the boards will not be able to go out.
