Skukuza is home to very few residents of the human kind, but there is plenty wildlife that call this administrative headquarters, home.
Skukuza is the largest camp in the Kruger National Park. You will find a variety of accommodation, shops and restaurants as well as a number of historical sites including 3 museums and a library here.
There is even a bank, post office and police station, but don’t think that the many facilities of this busy rest camp are deterrence to the wildlife. Bats swing lazily from the many thatched roof structures and from here you can plan all the activities of the Kruger National Park. Book game drives, bush braais, guided walks and mountain bike rides. The camp overlooks the Sabie River so you can see wildlife from the comfort of your overnight accommodation and once you leave the camp; the ‘big five’ are all found roaming in the vicinity.
