Zip Line at Loskop Dam: 1.4 km of Adrenaline

Experience Loskop Dam from above with a zip-line adventure through the rugged landscape of Mpumalanga. Located on a private farm between Middelburg and Loskop Dam, Zip X Loskop Adventures offers seven separate zip lines stretching approximately 1.4 kilometres across the valley.

This is no quick ride across a short stretch. The seven lines zig-zag through the landscape, with speeds of up to 70 km/h on the faster sections. Before you take off, trained guides provide the necessary equipment and instructions, with two guides accompanying each group. There are also three bailout points along the route if the excitement becomes a little too much.

One of the highlights of ziplining at Loskop Dam is the scenery. The surrounding valley is home to the rare Lanatus and Middelburgensis cycads, species found in this part of Mpumalanga. Some of these remarkable plants are estimated to be around 850 years old, adding a fascinating natural element to an already adrenaline-filled experience.

As you fly from platform to platform, you'll get a different perspective of the rugged hills and kloofs around Loskop Dam. The adventure finishes at the bottom of the zipline, where a 4x4 vehicle takes you back to reception.
