Scootours in South Africa. The newest adventure activity to hit the mountains of South Africa. 

Scootours will soon be seen all over South Africa and hopefully, in Swaziland and Lesotho, it’s a true outdoor adventure activity for the whole family.  Basically an off-road scooter on steroids.  So all you need is a little gradient and off you go.  The first scootours were launched in the Drakensberg this Christmas (2013) by Drakensberg Scootours and were a huge success.  These off-road scooters are really easy to ride, with front and back brakes and really wide tires for excellent grip around the bends. 

Originating in the Swiss Alps as an off-season activity on the ski slopes it has now hit South Africa and will be available all year round due to our excellent weather conditions.  A great new downhill mountain sport.

Two new locations have recently opened in South Africa making this one of the fastest-growing outdoor adventure activities in the country.  The two are Scootours Cape Town in Cape Town and Scootours Knysna, Garden Route.

Being non-motorized this is one of the most eco-friendly adventures in South Africa.  Yes, they have to be transported to the start but that is where the fun starts.  These Monster Mountain scootours are perfect for windy downhill single track, just tell the mountain bikers to move aside when you come flying past.

Very little skill is required so great for a wide range of ages, just depending on your sense of adventure.
