Learn Essential Outdoor Skills and Life Lessons
Boswa Survival is an internationally accredited outdoor training academy offering practical survival and bushcraft courses designed to equip you with the skills to thrive in wild and remote environments. Since 2007, Boswa has trained over 6,000 students, guiding beginners and seasoned adventurers alike through hands-on experiences that teach essential survival techniques.
“Boswa,” derived from the Setswana language of Botswana, reflects hope and the preservation of traditional skills and cultural heritage—values that are at the heart of every course. Students learn how to navigate, shelter, forage, and protect themselves in nature, gaining the confidence and knowledge to face challenges safely and independently.
Courses cater to all levels, from introductory bushcraft sessions to professional survival qualifications. Each program offers practical lessons in fire-making, water sourcing, wilderness first aid, tracking, and essential life skills. Upon completion, students receive internationally recognized STASA certification, validating their survival expertise.
Boswa Survival also offers lifelong membership, creating a supportive community of outdoor enthusiasts who continue to train, grow, and share knowledge. With six scenic training branches across South Africa, students experience a variety of wilderness environments—from dense forests to open savannahs—learning to adapt to different terrains and conditions.
Whether you want to explore nature safely, prepare for emergencies, or challenge yourself, Boswa Survival provides the tools, training, and confidence to survive in the wild while discovering your own strength and resilience.
