Kruger National Park - Lebombo Overland Eco Trail.

An off road expedition in a 4x4 is a great way to explore the beautiful hidden treasures of South Africa’s wilderness and what better place to go on an adventure than the Lebombo Overland Eco Trail in the Kruger National Park

Every Sunday from April to October, experienced and professional guides lead five vehicles on the trail. On the way, you will refuel and replenish supplies in Lower Sabie, Olifants and Shingwedzi Rest Camps before you end five days later at Pafuri Camp.

The Lebombo Overland Eco Trail traverses about 525 kilometres across the length of the Kruger National Park and follows the Lebombo mountain rance from Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp in the south to Pafuri in the north. The trail starts where two countries meet (South Africa and Mozambique) and ends near the meeting place of a third (South Africa and Zimbabwe).

During the five days and four nights you will follow the eastern boundary of the park and spend time in more than 30 different habitats. Each day is filled with the possibilities of wildlife encounters. Your guide will also help with identifying spoor and plant species. At night you will sleep in unfenced camps and cook around the camp fire.
A combination of wildlife encounters and spectacular scenery makes this guided self-drive route one of the most amazing 4x4 trails in South Africa. It is not a 4x4 obstacle course but an opportunity for true bush lovers to enjoy unspoilt wilderness.
