Sabie River White Water Rafting with Extreme Adventure Camp
Experience the thrill of white water rafting on the Sabie River with Extreme Adventure Camp, an adventure destination just 18km from Hazyview on the R536 in Mpumalanga. Set along the scenic Panorama Route, the camp offers a fun-filled river adventure combining exhilarating rapids, beautiful Lowveld scenery and plenty of opportunities to get wet.
The two-hour guided rafting adventure covers approximately 7 to 8km of the Sabie River, featuring Grade 2 to 3 rapids. The route offers an exciting introduction to white water rafting while remaining accessible to first-time rafters and families. No previous rafting experience is required, and children from five years old can take part, making this a great option for families wanting to experience the Sabie River together.
As you paddle through the rapids, take in the lush vegetation surrounding the river and keep an eye out for wildlife along the route. The natural surroundings add to the experience, while playful moments along the way include a refreshing bum slide.
Extreme Adventure Camp provides guided experiences with training included, so beginners can learn what they need to know before heading onto the river. Safety equipment is provided, allowing you to concentrate on enjoying the ride, scenery and excitement of the Sabie River.
Rafting trips are available throughout the year, subject to availability, with morning and afternoon departure slots. The activity is an ideal addition to a Lowveld itinerary, particularly for visitors exploring Hazyview, the Panorama Route or nearby Kruger National Park.
Whether you are planning a family day out, a group adventure or simply want to add some adrenaline to your Mpumalanga trip, Extreme Adventure Camp’s Sabie River white water rafting experience offers an exciting way to experience one of the region’s most scenic waterways.
