At e-Dirt Bike Adventures we offer something truly rare — the chance to explore one of South Africa’s last remaining high-altitude wilderness areas quietly, responsibly, and up close. As the first guided e-dirt bike tour and safari experience in South Africa and probably worldwide, we open access to landscapes long inaccessible to petrol-powered bikes. Riding state-of-the-art SurRon electric dirt bikes, you’ll glide through the Steenkampsberg mountains and the greater Dullstroom region in near-silence, immersing yourself in wild spaces that few people ever get to see.

Our adventures are designed for riders who appreciate nature as much as they enjoy off-road exploration. To join us, you’ll need basic off-road motorbike experience or solid mountain-bike handling skills — enough to feel confident on varied terrain while riding at a controlled, eco-friendly pace. We keep our groups small, always guided by experienced professionals, and follow a simple ethos: wilderness first, adventure second.

Riders must be 16 years or older (with a parent present) and under 100 kg, ensuring both safety and optimal bike performance.

What makes our tours and safaris truly special is the environment itself. Expect sightings of a variety of game species, Blue and Crowned Cranes, endemic wildflowers, rare orchids, pristine streams, dramatic escarpment views, and vast, undisturbed grasslands. With no engine noise, wildlife remains calm, birdlife thrives around you, and the only sounds are wind, tyres, and flowing water — especially when we cross low-level streams and small rivers that add a splash of excitement to the ride. On our longer routes, you may even enjoy a refreshing swim in crystal-clear mountain pools, a rare privilege in such untouched wilderness.
