The Diamond Coast Hiking Trail winds 50km from south to north along what is known as the “Diamond Coast” between private mining settlements of Koingnaas and Kleinzee in Namaqualand, Northern Cape. Springbok lies 110km to the east, Port Nolloth is 60km to the North and Garies lies 163 km to the East.
It’s here, in this secret corner of the West Coast, that you’ll find the Diamond Coast Hiking Trail which meanders along approximately 50 km of coastline. Previously not accessible to the public due to mining activities, the Trail was re-opened in 2017 to offer explorers and hikers the unique opportunity to experience the area. Additional activities include the Diamond Mine and Museum Tour (R100 pp), adventure 4X4 Shipwreck Day Tour/Dunes and Game Drives and Sightseeing/Namaqua Blommekyk Tour.
