Sudwala Caves Adventures
Sudwala caves lies just northwest of Nelspruit on the Sabie Road in Mpumalanga, South Africa. These magnificent caves were formed millions of years ago in Gondwana. The caves often appear in the Southern Africa history and forms part of many exciting adventure stories in this region. The caves were mind for guano in 1914 and became a tourist attraction in 1965. Sudwala caves got their name from Sudwala who was the local chief’s induna or medicine man. The caves run tours daily. However one of my favourite South Africa adventures is the crystal camber tour run on the first Saturday of each month. The Crystal tour lasts for five hours as you crawl and slide deep into the earth for about 2000 meters. You come out dirty and full of mud from head to toe and feeling like a true spelunker. So if you find yourself in the Nelspruit area looking for an adventure activity, this is certainly one to consider.
