It's a mountain biker's dream! This is heli mountain biking and it is available in South Africa.
You and your bike are loaded into a helicopter for a scenic flight into the mountains. The helicopter lands at the trail start on a mountain top for you to get out. Once unloaded, it leaves you and the other bikers alone with only the wind, the mountains and each other for company.
From here, you follow a network of tracks and paths that take you downhill, over as much as 30 kilometres in distance, to the waiting taxi shuttle. Dual suspension bikes are recommended and riders are recommended to have intermediate to advanced biking skills.
