Igniting Purpose in the Heart of the Kalahari
Duin in die Weg Outdoor Education Centre is Northern Cape’s premier destination for youth camps, outdoor education, team-building, and adventure-based learning. Located on the banks of the Orange River, just off the N10 between Upington and Groblershoop, this unique centre covers over 2,000 hectares of diverse landscape, from the iconic Kalahari dunes to the lush riverine bush. Since opening its gates in 2004, Duin in die Weg has been offering powerful educational experiences in one of South Africa’s most striking natural environments.
With over 17 years of hands-on experience in youth development, the centre is proud to be the only full-time outdoor education facility in the province. Learners and groups are immersed in nature-based learning, designed to build resilience, teamwork, leadership, and a deep sense of personal growth.
All programs are guided by experienced staff who understand the value of challenge, reflection, and real-world connection. Duin in die Weg is more than a camp—it’s a place where young people discover their strengths, where schools find reliable partners in education, and where companies host meaningful retreats. Whether it’s for sport, school programs, accommodation, or conferences, the centre offers an inspiring and authentic space to learn and grow.
The vision is simple: to provide a foundation for people—especially youth—to step into lives filled with purpose and significance, shaped by the wild beauty and lessons of the Northern Cape.
