Your journey begins with a thorough safety briefing and equipment fitting at the Adventure Centre, where you’re kitted out with helmet, harness, and Via Ferrata lanyard. Then, tackle a scenic 3 km uphill approach from Sentinel Peak Car Park to the base of the climb, where breathtaking vistas become your constant companion.

Ascend the three distinct sections of the Via Ferrata, testing your strength and nerve while safely secured on the iron rungs and cables. If doubts creep in, a bailout point midway lets you retreat confidently, but most climbers find new limits within themselves. Reach the summit of Beacon Buttress to sign the logbook and soak in sweeping views of the Drakensberg range.
