Watching over the city of Cape Town is Lion's Head, a distinctively shaped mountain that rises steeply to peak at 669 meters above sea level. Known for offering spectacular views of the city and the ocean, Lion's Head are a popular spot for walking, trail running, and paragliding.

Various launch sites on the slopes of Lion's Head are used for paragliding depending on the wind direction at the time. In Cape Town, winds change throughout the day in direction and strength. As such, flights only take place in conditions that allow pilots to launch and land safely.

Tandem flights offer visitors an exhilarating experience with unsurpassed views. Tandem pilots are highly experienced instructors with a passion for flight. They aim to give you enjoyable flights up to 30 minutes in duration when conditions are ideal. Flights usually last 5 to 30 minutes.

As a tandem paragliding passenger, no experience is necessary. Wear warm, comfortable clothing (long pants and a jacket/windbreaker) and closed, lace-up shoes, like sports trainers. Take-offs require a few steps to launch and landings on large, grassy fields are generally soft.
