Established in 1913, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is nestled against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Founded to conserve and display South Africa’s unique flora, this garden is home to more than 20 000 indigenous plants.
Visitors enjoy picnics on the expansive lawns, outdoor summer concerts with a lush mountain backdrop as well as the latest addition – the Boomslang. This curved canopy tree walk has been nominated for numerous design awards. It winds its way through the arboretum offering 360 degree views of the garden.
