Great Brak River or Groot-Brakrivier as it is known in Afrikaans affords many opportunities for outdoor adventure activities while visiting the Garden Route.  A magnificent stretch of river in the Mossel Bay area for kayaking and other water activities.  It got its name for being brackish a long way upstream due to the strong tidal push and small gradient.  So if you are in the area don’t forget to explore this beautiful Southern Cape river.
