The Doring River lies in the Western Cape, not far from the town of Clanwilliam. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Cape Town to access the river and is a great spot for kayaking and river rafting. Operators guide trips of people in kayaks or rafts with overnight camping on the riverbank.
The Doring is described by Graeme 'Riverman' Addison as "the most pristine and surprising in its grandeur".
