Aerial Boardwalks are new to South Africa, but have been around a while in other parts of the world.
The only two aerial boardwalks in South Africa currently that we know of is in the Dlinza Forest in KwaZulu-Natal and Die Boomslang in Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town.
This walkway brings you in close contact to the forest canopy and it’s varied wildlife. If you are in the area it is a great outing for the family and not to be missed. Dlinza Forest is well-known to the birding community for its variety of forest bird species.
A new addition to the garden is the Boomslang, a curved tree canopy walkway that winds its way through the trees in the arboretum offering 360 degree views of the garden.
We would classify this outdoor activity as a soft adventure for the entire family.
