Gravel roads wind endlessly through exquisite semi-arid Little Karoo scenery. Mountains rise on all sides, their ancient geological folds exposed and dramatic. Tracks pass through the wonderful flora known as fynbos. The Karoo weather is ideal for cycling- it seldom rains, and the temperatures are cooler as you gain altitude.
Operators use 4 x 4 back up vehicles to accompany groups, ensuring everyone is well fed and watered and providing the odd shuttle to the top of a tortuous pass for those who prefer that option. Any technical issues are dealt with by your experienced cycling guide and well-maintained spare bikes are available.
