Kwalata Game Lodge offers Kwalata Adventure Camp, an Outdoor Education Centre for School Groups in the Dinokeng Game Reserve.
For over 30 years, Kwalata Adventure Camp has been a premier destination for outdoor education, focusing on Adventure & Leadership programs designed specifically for school and youth groups. Our camp, nestled in the southern side of the Dinokeng Big 5 Reserve in Gauteng, offers a unique experience where adventure in the bushveld comes alive with evening campfires and early morning coffee.
Our purpose-built campsite is dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for young explorers. Here, students learn about themselves and others, guided by our core values of respect, teamwork, and fun.
Kwalata Adventure Camp goes beyond traditional outdoor education by integrating cultural, social, and environmental programs with live guest experiences. These programs are designed to generate measurable outcomes that directly support Kwalata’s various community initiatives. With a dedicated team of full-time staff, in-house facilitators, and carefully selected service providers, Kwalata is committed to making a positive impact on every participant.

Our camp offers two distinct sites to accommodate groups of varying sizes:
- Phiri Camp: Accommodates 40-180 learners plus 12 staff members.
- Phiri Enyane Camp: Ideal for smaller groups, hosting 12-40 learners plus 4 staff members.
Both camps offer fully catered accommodations with bunk beds and communal ablution facilities. We also provide back-to-basics camping along the banks of the Moretele River, where evenings are spent around a campfire under the vast African sky.
