Mont-aux-Sources Hike. Starting at the Drakensberg’s Sentinel car park, hike to the right of the Witches, toward Sentinel, through the zig-zags, around the base of Sentinel, along the contour path to the chain ladder. Once up, there is a well-defined path leading to the top of Tugela Falls. Hikers from Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge can use the lodge’s transfer service to the start and get ‘to the top of the Berg’, explore the plateau, and back to the lodge, in a day. 

Other area hikes include Gudu Falls, Broome Hill, Mahai Falls Valley and the Metsi Matso Trail. Guides, transfers and lunch packs are all available to Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge visitors.
