Valley Crag is the largest Indoor Climbing gym in the Eastern Cape region, boasting a variety of indoor bouldering, top rope and lead routes. We have two amazing Auto-belay Systems to allow you to do the higher routes without having a belayer on hand. Walk into a community of like-minded people who love adventure and climbing at their core.
Our staff are friendly and the local climbing community will make you feel right at home, with knowledge and experience to share to welcome you into our climbing family. Since we cater for families with kids from age 7 and up, you can truly have an adventure that encourages family time.

We offer amazing team-building opportunities that help your team build trust, motivate and encourage each other with a facilitated climbing session with one of our amazing coaches.
We run weekly specials and often invite all to take part in our special events. A new Date Night adventure with an activity and a beautiful restaurant on hand to cater for your special night. Or a night out with friends as an adventure social. Join a Yoga session or build your strength with our ClimbFit Classes. We are also the proud hosts of the yearly Climbing For Rhino’s – Forever Rhino Rally in September, raising awareness for Rhino Conservation.
If you are a more seasoned climber or will be in town for three weeks or more, let’s try and get you outdoors with some of our local guides to take you on an outdoor adventure. We offer month-to-month memberships to allow for locals and long -term visitors to save on being able to climb more often. Join our Young-guns or Old-ballies in your next adventure.
When you run out of ideas of what to do for your child’s birthday, we offer a great Birthday Party slot for kids from the age of 7. A great way to spent their pent up energy and really get them active in a healthy way. School groups welcome too as we offer special classes for the groups if they are big enough. With a one and half to two hour facilitated climbing session, they are bound to have a memorable Birthday.
For the outdoor adventure enthusiasts or those who prefer to have their own climbing gear our gear shop offers a wide range of equipment and is available online too. So, whether you want to set up your own training wall or you would like to build up your kit for your outdoor climbs our shop has you covered.
