We depart daily from the New Harbour in Hermanus, the capital of the Whale Coast. Our memorable whale watching trips are informative and educational. From June to December we mostly encounter Southern Right whales, seals, penguins, and marine birds. We often see dolphins, Bryde’s, and Humpback whales on many of our trips.
For the last decade, Southern Right Charters has operated as a licensed permit holder under the ethos and motto of: ‘Observing NOT Disturbing’. We are licensed to approach the whales up to 50 m, but being curious creatures they usually come right up to the vessel. It is definitely a magical experience to be treasured’.
Our purpose-built catamaran Miroshca complies with all safety regulations and its configuration provides spectacular viewing and comfort. Four different viewing levels allow passengers the best viewing and photo opportunities. The friendly, knowledgeable crew adds that personal touch to ensure an all-around great experience.
