A one-hour drive south of Mbabane through the fertile and beautiful Malkerns Valley to Mankayane, one of Swaziland’s oldest towns, takes adventure seekers to one of the most ruggedly beautiful areas of Swaziland (now Eswatini).

Ngwempisi Trails offers a challenging and off-the-beaten track trail for adventurous hikers who enjoy community interaction. Hiring and feeding a local guide is necessary for all multi-day trails as the routes are not clearly marked. Day walks can be taken from the centrally-located Khopho Hut.

This development is proving to be a popular drawcard for South Africans as it is just three hours from Nelspruit, or 4,5 hours from either Johannesburg or Mkhuze.
