Nature Discovery is an eco-educational tourism adventure tour, started by Brian Pickering, within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, next to the Elgin Grabouw Country Club and only a 1-hour drive from Cape Town.
Nature Discovery offers visitors a previously unavailable opportunity to explore and appreciate the Reserve’s biodiversity, using four-wheel, 4x4, all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes), off-road motorcycles and electric-assisted, two-wheeled mountain bikes as options for getting around. These vehicle types were chosen and adapted to cause minimum impact on the environment.
The trails penetrate deep into the pristine wilderness, opening up a whole new world for both the adventure traveller and wildlife enthusiast.

Some trails lead high into the mountains, where around every corner you can find new views, rare plant species or unusual rock formations. Look forward to crossing small rivers, heading for a picnic lunch at a waterfall and swimming in rock pools. Overnight stays can be arranged in some of the best farm guest cottages.
