Affectionately known as “The Mountain,” Magoebaskloof is a mountainous haven in central Limpopo, known for its cool Afromontane forests, pine and avocado groves. The beating heart of the mountain is the little hamlet of Haenertsburg, home to a few hundred lucky people and visited by thousands more.

Misty Mountain Meanders facilitates unique exploration of the Haenertsburg and Magoebaskloof surroundings. Our team on the ground will make sure your group has an enjoyable time in our beautiful part of the world.

Our fully catered guided cycling tours will leave your legs tired, your bellies full and your soul recharged. With comfortable accommodation across the mountain you can rest assured you will have had a good rest before taking on the following day’s cycle.

Misty Mountain Meanders’ (run by Gavin Pirie,) home base, Monte Christo Farm, has been home to the Pirie family for over 100 years. The standard four-night, three-day trip will see groups cycle their way around the mountain stopping over at three of the Pirie family’s farms and establishments (Mountain Fly Fishing, Zwakala River Retreat and Boscobel Cottages,) and Stanford Lake Lodge all of which are some of the oldest and most popular spots on the mountain.

With flexible packages that cater for all levels of fitness and experience and with a host of additional activities such as a birding excursion and fly fishing lessons, there’s something for everyone’s taste.
