The Karoo is one of the largest Ecosystems in Southern Africa, most of the vegetation and wildlife is endemic to the ecosystem and walking through this landscape you appreciate how the animals and plants have had to adapt to survive. The Erdvark hiking trail is proud member of the Green Flag accredited hiking trails. There is a network of trails varying in length and difficulty that overnight in a traditional Karoo farmhouse, 7 days could be spent in the area without walking the same path twice.
