Gravity Adventures offers Breede River Raftingand team building near Cape Town.

Gravity Adventures is run by adventurers for the adventurous. We have been operating since 1997 and are the leading authority on swift-water safety and rescue. Over the years we have trained and assessed hundreds of paddling guides giving us access to the cream of the crop when it comes to choosing our crew. The inherent dangers of river-based activities are also what makes them so exciting, so it’s reassuring to know you’re in the hands of the best when it comes to rafting.

We offer a variety of rafting adventure tours; day trips close to Cape Town, overnighters a couple of hours from the city or extraordinary multi-day expeditions on rivers like the iconic Zambezi or all-time South African favourite- the Orange River.

We run rafting trips that will suit the whole family, like Thunder Alley on the Orange, where you’ll sleep under the stars, eat the best bush food cooked on a fire and still get ice-cold drinks on the 4th day. You can ramp it up and run the Orange River Gorge where you’ll be blown away by the magnificent desert scenery and the Richie Waterfall.  If you’re looking for an experience that packs even more edge, you can sign up for our Zambezi River rafting and tackle world-class rapids.

The Breede River near Cape Town is a great local rafting destination ideal for a weekend adventure.  The Breede’s rapids are an easy but fun grade 1-2. Our Breede River rafting trips are a great match for families, schools wanting to participate in our outdoor adventure programmes and bespoke rafting adventures for corporate team builds and incentives.

If you’re looking for a white-water weekend, then come and join us on the Palmiet River. Running through the beautiful Kogelberg nature reserve just outside Cape Town, this river packs a punch in winter. In fact, at Gravity Adventures, we absolutely love the rain and are constantly examining weather charts for signs of cold fronts. Another seasonal river that we love winter for is the Doring in the Cederberg. This is a very special area, remote and rugged with moderate to challenging white water and stunningly beautiful wilderness camping. A big favourite.
