The crowning glory of False Bay Firearm Training Academy is our stunning shooting range with our wide variety of firearms on hand. Located at the site of an old quarry on the magnificent False Bay Coast, you’ll spend some time admiring the views before getting down to choosing your firearm and taking aim. Above you the 200-meter high cliffs of the quarry rise like a wall, the sounds of the discharging firearms bouncing off it. Behind you lies the shimmering body of water known as False Bay with the distant mountains of Hottentots holland beyond that. Sometimes you can spot whales frolicking in the bay. Clay Pigeon Shooting is shooting a firearm (usually a shotgun) at moving targets know as clay pigeons. It’s fast, furious and a lot of fun. It also gets quite competitive and is great for building comradery. Friendly, professional staff and certified range officers are on-site to supervise shooting sessions and give expert instruction on the safe and effective use of equipment. Complete novices are encouraged to try their hand at this thrilling and highly rewarding sport.
