False Bay Firearm Training Academy is the hub for all things shooting-related. We run a gun club, organize events, operate various shooting sessions, keep an eye on and disseminate firearm-related issues and policies and run training courses and teambuilding activities revolving around shooting. One of our most popular activities is Clay Pigeon Shooting.
The crowning glory of False Bay Firearm Training Academy is our stunning shooting range with our wide variety of firearms on hand. Located at the site of an old quarry on the magnificent False Bay Coast, you’ll spend some time admiring the views before getting down to choosing your firearm and taking aim. Above you the 200-meter high cliffs of the quarry rise like a wall, the sounds of the discharging firearms bouncing off it. Behind you lies the shimmering body of water known as False Bay with the distant mountains of Hottentots holland beyond that. Sometimes you can spot whales frolicking in the bay. A few kilometres along the coastline is the picturesque naval suburb of
Simon’s Town where you can have lunch and visit the penguins after your Clay Pigeon Shooting session.
