Daytrippers - Cycle Tours operator in Cape Town.
Daytrippers is a family-run business that specializes in cycling adventures.
Our Cape Town city cycling tour reflects our deep local knowledge and enables us to keep our city cycling itinerary flexible and loosely routed so that our guest’s preferences can come into play. If you have an interest in the political history of South Africa, our guides will take you to more sites of political significance, if it’s art you’re into, they’ll reroute for that. Most of all they’ll make sure you don’t miss any of the wonderful highlights of Cape Town. You’ll mosey along the promenade where Atlantic rollers send spray over your head, you’ll bump over the cobbled streets of vibrant Bo Kaap, through bustling Green Market Square for a little shopping and down to the Grand Parade where Nelson Mandela made his first moving speech after being released from prison after 27 years. Your guide will bring richness and understanding to art installations, statues, and even graffiti- explaining the political or cultural significance of the things you see. Even the flower sellers on the main street in Cape Town have a 150 -year colorful history and will interact with you and may share their stories too.
Our cycle tours in the city of Cape Town are a relaxed and easy-paced affair where you’ll never feel rushed. At times you’ll get off the bike and push while you take in something of interest or interact with the friendly locals. It’s a wonderfully immersive way to experience a city, especially Cape Town with its stunning scenic beauty. In fact, most of the time you’ll be aware that just beyond the noise and busyness of the city are the natural spaces of Table Mountain, Lions Head, and Signal Hill-still pristine and unspoiled apart from the developments on the lower slopes. This is a feature of Cape Town that makes it very special.
Apart from our flexibility on the tour, we are also very happy to create a completely bespoke city cycling tour for our clients.
