Based in Simon’s Town, 45-minutes from Cape Town, Apex Shark Expeditions strives to offer the best and safest shark cage diving trip. Together with an educational enriched experience they believe the only way that people develop a love for, and a need to conserve wildlife, is through exposure to it. As a result of their expertise and professionalism, Apex has facilitated and hosted many well-known shark documentaries over the years including the Air Jaws series seen on Shark Week.
Their half day shark tours offer you the opportunity to observe shark behaviour from the deck of their boat and in the water from within their shark diving cage. They specialise in offering the smallest groups in the industry and an eco-friendly approach to observing not only Great white sharks, but also Sevengill shark, Mako shark, Blue sharks, whales and other marine wildlife.
They operate their half day shark tours all year round to either Seal Island or Cape Point as both offer very different opportunities and visibility. The day’s location will be determined by the best sea conditions and shark activity and only confirmed the day before the tour.
Whales, dolphins and many species of sea birds are often encountered on this adventurous expedition. As they adopt an eco-system style of operating their trips, going to sea with Apex is like going on a safari game drive and they will try to take in as much marine wildlife. Departing from Simon’s Town, 45min from Cape Town and 15min from the Cape of Good Hope.
