The Lake Eland Game Reserve is a must-visit. It takes only an hour to drive from Margate to Oribi Gorge, where you can experience an 80-metre long bridge walk. This suspension bridge hangs 130m above the bottom of the gorge! There is also an exhilarating zipline adventure with 14 slides spread over a 4.5-kilometre distance.
The town is busiest during the school vacation periods (especially over Christmas and Easter) and on public holidays. Its tropical climate makes it a great destination throughout the year.
