Human Slingshot in South Africa.

More exhilarating than bungee jumping, the giant human slingshot catapults you into the air to send you hurtling forwards - and backwards and forwards and backwards - in an thrilling ride.

Terrified of jumping off bridges and cliffs or being flung vertically into the air? Then this is the perfect adrenalin-packed adventure activity for you as this giant human slingshot launches you into flight more horizontally than vertically.

The slingshot structure is made up of two tall poles to which super strong bungee cords are attached. Like a stone in the pocket of a handheld slingshot, you hang between them, secured in a full-body safety harness. A helmet, neck brace and goggles complete your safety gear.

A quad bike stretches the bungee cords by pulling you backwards to the release point. BOOM! Going zero to 80km/h in an instant, you'll get a rush from the g-forces. After being launched forwards, you'll bounce back to swing between the poles a number of times as you slow down and come to rest.

One of the most fun things to do when attached to a bungee cord, for safety reasons this activity is limited to people who weigh between 50 and 100 kilograms.

In the North West of South Africa, the giant human slingshot can be experienced at Sun City and has become one of the area's must-do things.
