A short drive inland will take you into the green sugarcane hills and a lovely river valley that is fast becoming a ziplining hotspot. The zipline course zip-zags down the valley slowly preparing you for the whopper at the end, South Africa’s first Parazip. You do have to earn this wild ride by walking up a steep flight of steps but it’s totally worth it. Trailing a parachute, which slows you down just enough to appreciate the steep ride without it flashing by in a sec, you’ll get a sense of what leaping out of a plane must feel like.
