Snorkeling in Cape Town - Guided snorkel trips.
Snorkeling has been gaining popularity in Cape Town over the last few years. The compelling documentary ‘My octopus teacher’ has shone even more light on the incredible marine diversity and unspoilt wonders of the waters around the Cape Peninsula. Opening this exciting and unique activity to more people will hopefully ensure more protection for our precious marine resources for years to come.
Exploring the magnificent kelp forests of the Cape Peninsula seas is one of the most popular snorkelling adventures in Cape Town. Like any forest, this unusual and important habitat is home to many creatures, including our, now famous, octopus, stingrays and a colourful array of shade loving sea urchins on the sandy white ocean floor. Another Cape Town snorkelling favourite is spending time in the ocean with the lovable and cheeky Cape fur seal. These Cape Coast homies are extremely entertaining and engaging. You might even be lucky enough to be joined by a penguin, but they are less likely to give you more than a passing glance.
Even though snorkeling is not as technically demanding as diving our highly professional operators will still have you accompanied by PADI certified divemaster’s to ensure a safe and wonderful adventure in Cape Town.
