The small town of Hazyview is only a few minutes’ drive from Phabeni Gate, the closest access to the Kruger National Park, and the Numbi and Paul Kruger Gates are also in close proximity.

Hiker’s may select from 7 different Wilderness Trails spread throughout the Kruger Park. Each trail takes up to 8 walkers on a leisurely foot safari through the parks pristine wilderness areas with 2 days of walking and 3 nights of camping and dining under the stars. Accompanied by professional and experienced rangers, these trails cover up to 20km per day and explore the many natural wonders of the African lowveld bush. Along the way, enjoy encounters with wildlife and birds as well as unique photographic opportunities.

Why not combine an incredible slackpacking adventure with a visit to the stunning Sabie River Valley, the Sudwala Caves or the Panorama Route, all easily accessible from Hazyview. The regions pleasant sub-tropical climate is perfect for water-based adventures such as tubing and river rafting, a great way to freshen up after activities like mountain boarding and quad biking. Graskop’s famous gorge swing is also nearby to keep the daredevils smiling!
