Rap Jumping in South Africa.

Rap jumping is the activity of descending a fixed rope in a standing position while facing the ground. The technique was first used in the military allowing the soldier to face down during assault manoeuvres. Most abseiling operators in South Africa also offer rap jumping or Rappelling as an activity.

Rap Jumping as an activity was originally made popular by the Australian adventure operators and is also known as Australian Abseiling.
