Of course, the mighty forests of the Garden Route are much diminished- the value of the timber hidden there ignited the time of the woodcutters in the 1800’s, but substantial pockets remain, highly protected and still in pristine condition.
Quietly trotting through these species rich afromontane forests, with an expert guide bringing the ghosts of the past alive and pointing out rare fauna and flora, is sure to be a holiday highlight.
