Though seas around the world are under pressure from over-fishing, Cape waters are still relatively abundant and deep-sea fishing operators will get you out onto the cold Atlantic which has some of the richest tuna grounds in the world. Other game fish like dorado, snoek, mako and yellowtail all put in appearances.
The cool streams that tumble pool-to-pool down Cape Town’s mountainous regions offer tranquil freshwater fishing as do many picturesque farm dams.
