Two beautiful wooden dragon boats were presented to Cape Town in 1992 and the sport started growing. Now there is an enthusiastic dragon boat racing community in Cape Town and many corporate paddling groups. You can get involved by contacting the Mujaji Dragon Boat Club.
Dragon boat racing is a fantastic teambuilding experience-and in order to be an effective racing machine every participant has to go through the challenge of learning the unusual paddling technique which is all about teamwork and timing.
