Flyboarding in South Africa.
Thanks to a Frenchman by the name of Franky Zapata, we now bring you flyboarding South Africa.
If nothing else, this sport looks extremely cool and makes for great photography. The acrobatics or should we say aerobatics that can be achieved with a flyboard are awesome. Flyboarding is certainly one of the newest outdoor activities in the world not just South Africa.
So it works like this: You hook your jetpack to the jet skis water outlet and this force propels you into the air. The hose attached to the jet ski is long enough for you to get very creative with your Jetpack and jet nuzzles.
So now jet skis are not only being used for pull in surfing, deep sea fishing and water rescue but flyboarding has been added to these versatile watercraft uses.
There is also a similar product out there called the Jetovator. These use the same propulsion from the water outlet of a Jet ski but looks more like a water bike, so you basically sit on it instead of standing on a board.
There are Flyboarding and Jetovator venues popping up all over South Africa at the moment, so keep an eye on Dirty Boots for the closest one to you and add Flyboarding to your bucket list or been there, done that list.
