These include the beautiful coastal region with its magnificent lagoon and numerous small fishing villages, the grain and wine farms of the Swartland and Sandveld, the citrus, rooibos and wines of the Olifants River Valley, the spectacular Cederberg and Grootwinterhoek Mountains, and the arid beauty of Namaqualand and the Knersvlekte.

Cederberg
The Cederberg is perfect for nature lovers. Hiking is one of the main attractions in this area, ranging from a few hours to day hikes, easy to difficult. History is drawn in the rocks and caves all over the Cederberg, the famous khoisan paintings can be seen at the Sevilla Trail, the Stadsaal Caves or C.L. Leipoldt’s Grave and only the Sevilla Trail requires walking. Most of the region falls under the fynbos biome, and various endangered species of fynbos can be found in our area. This area offers activities such as 4x4 trails, quad biking and mountain biking. The area is home to one of the world's best rock-climbing sites, the Rocklands. The Cederberg area is a world heritage site.
