Join Southern Right Charters for close encounters with the ‘gentle giants’ of the ocean and other marine life. Southern Right Charters departs daily from our private floating jetty in Hermanus, the capital of the Whale Coast.

Our memorable whale watching trips are informative and educational. We mostly encounter Southern Right whales, seals, penguins and marine birds, and often see dolphins, Bryde’s and Humpback whales on many of our trips. Whale sightings are guaranteed from June to December, but with nature being unpredictable we offer a 50% ticket refund if none of these majestic creatures is spotted. We are licensed to approach the whales up to 50 m, but being curious creatures they usually come right up to the vessel. It is definitely ‘a magical experience to be treasured’.

The purpose-built catamaran Miroshca complies with all safety regulations and its configuration provides spectacular viewing and comfort. Passenger comfort on board includes a licensed refreshments bar, comfortable seating and. Four different viewing levels allow passengers the best viewing opportunities.
